Some further fullerenes
In general molecules in the form of 3-connected polyhedral cages
with exactly 12 pentagonal and all the other hexagonal faces solely
built from carbon atoms are called fullerenes. Fullerenes
Cv can be constructed for v=20 and for all
even v≥ 24. They have v vertices (i.e. C-atoms),
3v/2 edges and (v-20)/2 hexagonal faces. The most
important member of the family of the fullerenes is
C60. In [10]
the 3-dimensional cycle indices of many of these fullerenes are
computed.
