Technical information about MOLGEN MOLGEN is completely written in C and C++. Pursuing advanced programming techniques, MOLGEN is available on different computing platforms. IBM OS/2, MS WINDOWS, IBM RS6000/AIX and SUN Solaris/Motif versions are available now. A native DOS version is also available. MOLGEN is available in a standard version and in a plus version. The standard version is mainly used in educational facilities, but smaller real problems can also be solved. The main restriction is the maximum number of possible atoms in the resulting structure, which is 30 in the educational version. MOLGEN+ provides a wider range of atoms (100) for the generation process and offers fine tuning using an external expander for substructures manually.
