How to get there

Plane

If you intend to come by plane: the nearest international airport to Gößweinstein is Nürnberg. From the airport you should go with taxi or bus to the railway station and follow the route described below.

If you fly to Frankfurt/Main or Munich, take a train to Nürnberg and follow the route described below.

Train

If you intend to come to the conference by train, you should go to Pegnitz and then take a bus to Gößweinstein.

  1. If you come via Nürnberg:
    In Nürnberg you take the train to Bayreuth/Hof which starts hourly from 5.50 until 23.50 on track 17. The train takes 39 minutes to Pegnitz, the prize for an one-way ticket is 16.40 DM.

  2. If you come via Bayreuth:
    In Bayreuth you take the train to Nürnberg which starts hourly from 5.10 until 22.10. The train takes 16 minutes to Pegnitz, the prize for an one-way ticket is 7.60 DM. There are also some additional trains.

In Pegnitz you take the Bus 8418 to Gößweinstein/Ebermannstadt. It will take about 45 min to Gößweinstein, the prize is 6.00 DM.

From Monday to Friday there is an additional bus line (number 8411) from Pegnitz to Gößweinstein.
